If You Can’t Ride the Tour de France, Why Not the Tour de ’Ville?

As part of the exhibition “Transformation of the Machine: The Bicycle,” the Kentucky Art and Craft Gallery, National City and the Louisville Wheelmen invite you to an afternoon of cycling pleasure Sunday, March 24, 1996, at 2:00 p.m.

Participants should meet at the Kentucky Art and Craft Gallery between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. to view the exhibition. The first 150 riders will receive a FREE water bottle.

Cyclists may choose from one of three rides—7 miles, 15 miles or 25 miles in length—leaving simultaneously from the National City Plaza at Fifth and Market Streets. All ages and abilities are welcome, with the routes chosen to accommodate beginner, intermediate or advanced riders. There is no registration fee but you must wear a helmet to ride! Each ride will be led by an experienced ride captain from the Louisville Wheelmen, Kentucky’s premier recreational cycling club.

In case of inclement weather, call the “Cycle Hot-Line” (502) 589-0102 for up-to-date reports on the status of the ride. In case of rain, we will not ride and a rain date will be announced.

See related press release.
