Ride ratings:
    #1 Primarily flat
    #2 Mostly flat with some hills, perhaps 1/3 of total distance is hills
    #3 Rolling hills
    #4 Rolling with occasional steep hills. Difficult!
Pace Ratings: (average speed)
    A Pace = 8-10 miles/hour average
    B Pace = 10-13 miles/hour average
    C Pace = 13-15 miles/hour average
    D Pace = 15-18 miles/hour average
    E Pace = 18+ miles/hour average

ANSI- or Snell-approved helmets are required

  • 10:00 am – 22/33/47/64 mi. #3/#4. Harvest Homecoming Ride. Floyd Central High School. A great fall event! Hosted by the Southern Indiana Wheelmen. Registration from 7:30 – 9:00 am, ride at 10:00 am Pre-registration $9.00 until September 22. Call Bob Peters at 948-BIKE for information.

  • 8:00 am - Overlook/Leavenworth 35/70 miles #3+ & #4. 35-mile ride leaves from Corydon Dairy Mart at 10 am. 70-mile departs from New Albany Holiday Inn, 5th St. and W. Market. RC: Norm Minnick, 429-8339.

Pace levels, where given are advisory and allow you to match rides to your ability. Ride captains are instructed to accommodate riders at all pace levels, including those shown on the schedule. Family rides accommodate all pace levels. Contact ride captain if you have a question about speed or difficulty!

Ride difficulty ratings are approximate. #2 = Quite flat, up to ¼ hills; #3 = Rolling, up to 1/3 hills; #4 = Steep hills, grades up to 9%, or long mileage; #5 ride = Dominated by steep hills and extreme grades.
