Louisville to host LAB National Rally!
Louisville and the Louisville Bicycle Club will be hosts for the National League of American Bicyclists Annual Meeting June 4th through 7th. We anticipate over 1,000 cyclists will participate. The US Secretary of Transportation has been invited to attend along with other dignitaries. Our club will need a lot of help in setting up rides for those dates. More details will follow as they unfold.
Calling All Racers!
Attention racers or racer-wannabes.
There will be a meeting Thursday, January 7 at 7 pm at the home of Anne Huntington, VP Racing for members of the racing team and anyone interested in becoming a member of the team. Address is 2113 Dearing Ct, Louisville 40204. You can call Anne for details at 332-6650 (pager) or e-mail her at BikerACH@aol.com.
General Membership Meeting
Our next general membership meeting will be held at Health & Harvest, a restaurant/food store in the Gardiner Lane Shopping Center at 3:00 Sunday, January 17th. Please come prepared to discuss how we can increase membership.
Also a guest will give a presentation on nutrition. (Fits in with many New Yearís resolutions, Iím sure!) Hope to see a great turnout!
The Polar Bear Award (Brrrr!)
Did you know the club awards a prize to the person with the most club miles from November 1 to March 1? Itís the much-coveted Polar Bear Award! Thereís still time to get miles in. In fact, the best way to get winter miles may be to ride captain! Then you can name the starting place. The prize will depend upon what we can get donated from area shops and/or sponsors, but it will be worth the effort even if just for the bragginí rights.
