The New OKHT Ride
TEAM OKHT is rolling! We are making plans for the "New" Old Kentucky Home Tour, September 9-10, 2000. Fabulous new designs for jerseys, shirts, ball caps, sweat bands and bandannas have just been completed, and the brochure will be in the mail in early May!
Sponsors: The LBC is pleased to welcome our two Supporting Sponsors for the 2000 OKHT: Buffalo Trace (www.buffalotrace.com) and Scheller's Fitness & Cycling.
New ride start! We are delighted to announce that the new ride start location will be E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park. This park and facility are ideal! We will use the gymnasium for registration on Saturday, there is ample parking, and we have reserved the picnic shelter for Sunday's after-ride party. For out-of-towners there are convenient motels at Westport Road and the Gene Snyder Freeway, shopping and restaurants.
New Overnight in Bardstown! The OKHT will be returning to Bardstown for the overnight in 2000. Bardstown High School will serve as the new overnight headquarters. New activities are being scheduled in town, including a Bourbon Tasting event. Dinner at the school will be catered by the Olive Garden restaurant and you'll flip over Sunday morning's breakfast provided by Chris Cakes.
Fabulous SAGs! Plans are underway for music and entertainment for this year's ride. SAG sponsors include St. Matthews Dental Group, Heine Bros. Coffee providing free coffee at Saturday's registration and check-in, and Republic Bank.

Volunteers! You'll get a T-shirt and free registration! Team OKHT needs volunteers willing to help with this year's ride. There is plenty to do right now and volunteering doesn't mean you can't ride the ride. Call Jane Tyler at 897-3786 or e-mail email@example.com. If you don't volunteer, you'll find out later how much fun we had without you, plus we'll have T-shirts and you won't!
