To Bardstown and Back! Team OKHT is rockin' and rollin' with plans for the Old Kentucky Home Tour September 9-10, 2000. The LBC is pleased to welcome our two Supporting Sponsors for the 2000 OKHT: Buffalo Trace Distillers (www.buffalotrace.com) and Scheller's Fitness & Cycling.

Hot news! The Bardstown High School will serve as the overnight headquarters. Arriving in Bardstown on Saturday, riders will be greeted by the jammin' sounds of Dr. Hemiola and the Blues Activators. Kick back and relax after your ride, or get off that bike and dance!

Cool rides! Millennium Sport and Import have graciously agreed to sponsor carriage rides in and around Bardstown for all registered riders. Way to go, Cheryl and Bob Brawner!

Yummy! Saturday evening will feature a dinner at the school catered by the Olive Garden ($9.50 per person) and a presentation in the school auditorium of Saturday's ride highlights. Door prizes! Fabulous door prizes!

FLASH! The Old Kentucky Home Tour welcomes legendary bike racer and coach, Chris Carmichael, voted 1999 USOC Coach of the year. Chris, in conjunction with Polar Heart Rate Monitors will be delivering a free seminar on heart rate training Saturday evening after dinner. Don't miss this one!

Register! Brochures have been mailed or may be picked up at local bike shops and sponsoring establishments.

Please register as soon as possible. You don't want to miss out on this year's fabulous ride. Be sure to check off the boxes for dinner, merchandise, club membership and a $1.50 donation to the LAB. Visit it all at www.okht.org.

Wear it! Baseball caps sporting Marilyn Motsch's way cool cyclo-strummer logo are available now for $15. Call Pennie Dubarry at 263-7215 for information on purchasing merchandise.

Volunteers! You'll get a T-shirt! Team OKHT needs volunteers willing to help with this year's ride. There is plenty to do right now and volunteering doesn't mean you can't ride the ride. Call Jane Tyler 897-3786 or email info@okht.org. If you don't volunteer, you'll find out later how much fun we had without you, plus we'll have T-shirts and you won't!

Updates: Be sure to check the News & Update section on the OKHT website: www.okht.org.

Thanks! Thanks to our other ride sponsors including our Golden Bicycle Chain Sponsor: St. Matthews Dental Care Group. Other sponsors include Distinctive Signs, Creation Gardens, Inc., Mark's Feed Store, Republic Bank & Trust Co., Heine Bros. Coffee, and photographer John May.
