MS 150

by Darrell Edwards, MS150 Committee Chair

When was the last time you pushed yourself; got your heart pumping; your legs aching; your mind racing?

The MS 150 Bike Tour provides an opportunity for you to test your strength and your character by taking on a personal challenge. Your challenge is two days of cycling, 150 miles of sweat and smiles, all the while raising money to help people living with the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

Join us for the 2005 Toyota MS 150 on June 4-5. The tour starts and finishes at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. Visitorís Center in Georgetown, Ky. The two-day event takes participants through the breathtaking countryside of the Bluegrass and is fully supported by more than 100 volunteers. The tour offers frequent rest stops stocked with high-energy snacks and beverages, expert mechanical support from Schellerís Fitness & Cycling, medical support coordinated by STATCARE and the veteran SAG team from Toyota. With the generous support from restaurants like Chiliís Grill & Bar and Bearnoís Pizza, riders will enjoy delicious dining along the way.

Our new overnight headquarters is at Centre College in Danville. Relax in the shade, or enjoy a relaxing massage before a delicious buffet dinner catered by Romanoís Macaroni Grill. A limited number of beds are available for $12 each at Centre College. Beds are not secured until the fee is processed. School buses will be available to shuttle riders choosing alternative accommodations at motels near the campus. A one-day option is available with shuttles returning to Georgetown after dinner in Danville. Reservations for return shuttles are required.
